Well guys and gals after the debacle which was the mixed fours we find ourselves home again, this time it is the Red Lion in Cassington. Never played these guys before and the were an ok bunch, The Cotty was crowded as usual and the Ale was flowing. First on for the CODS was Cliff "The swaying mantis" Southam, Has to be his best game yet as he powered to a 2-0 win. Next up was the Hoare, played well and won 2-0 as well. This brought the grim reaper to the oche, he had his scythe and cloak in full swing and danced his way to another 2-0 win. Yours truly up next and god I was terrible, if it was not for the chap I was playing being unable to hit the winning double then I would have lost 2-0, as it was I scraped in 2-1. The CODS are now 4-0 up with Clintos The Greek up next, after a nip and tuck game the Greek hit the winning double and the CODS once again had the sweet smell of victory winning 5-0. Last on was a late replacement for the injured Chris Jabber Green, The Kangaroo man himself back from his holiday in Spain. A solid performance from the Kangaroo man and a 2-0 victory. First up for the pairs was The Swaying Mantis and The Dirty Hoare, an easy 2-0 victory. Second pair on was The Reaper and in came Jabber for me, even with a broken arm Jabber had a better average. They were unlucky and lost 2-0. Last up was the Greek and Colin "No Idea" Bird, both played ok but lost 2-0 making the final score 7-2 for the cods.
