Match Report 25th June 2009 CODS Darts

The Angel arrived late but the game started quickly, we got off to a great start with the 4 a side registering a one nil win, First on for the singles for the Cods was me (Nick) and what a shocker, even if I would have thrown a hedgehog I still would not have hit that double, two nil loss and the indignity of having to buy someone else a drink! That Hurt! We were then put back on track by the in form Cliff Southam with an easy and impressive 2-0 win. Third on for the Cods was Andy but he hit a guy in form and was a little off sorts (I think he'd been watching me) and he lost. With the game poised at two all it was the Head of Small Mammals Chris Kibbey up next, lost the first leg to a man with pink flights! but recovered brilliantly to win 2-1 and send the Cods into a 3-2 lead. Pairs next and Me and Cliff easily won ours but The Greek and Jabber struggled and lost 2-0. Still this was a 4-3 win for the Cods! The mood changed when I played the captains leg, as I threw what was probably my 30th dart at a double it was becoming clear to me that my arm had been stolen and replaced with some other implement which was foreign to me, am researching demonic possession of appendages on tinternet as we speak! On the whole an excellent result and we got to meet The Greek's latest squeeze, we await our wedding invitations, Kenny Rogers has already been booked for the reception.
