Not bad for our first game back, the Red Lion are a great bunch of guys and good darters so to take the win was excellent. Everyone on the CODS side played well, particular note goes to Jabber (Chris Green) for his 2 points won in the 4's and the pairs, also he wins the "Shirt Of The Night" competition for his custom made shirt with his name on, at least I think it was custom made, it would have been damn lucky to have walked into Primark and found one with the same name as him! unless of course his name is Giorgio Armani or Tesco Value. Back to the game, Chris Kibbey was unlucky in his singles, as was Clint, double trouble did for both of them. A phantom illness cut Cliff's night a little short and he retired after the pairs, good win for Andy after going 1-0 down. Tonight was also the debut of the much talked about Electronic Scorer! yes folks the impossible has become possible, Jonesey the landlord finally bought the one he had been promising for a whole season (with our subs money mind) and it was faster at counting then Clint and Cliff combined, This technological marvel will hopefully be installed properly ready for the next home game so we will not need the sticky back plastic.
On the whole a good result, bring on the Chequers next week!
Player or "Cod" of the week
Chris "Jabber" Green for his 2 points
Cod Head of the week
Cliff Southall - retired "sick"

Behold people, 180 days in the making, tears and tantrums, agony, arguments and lots of nagging we are proud to present to you a picture of the new scorer..... (that of course means that there will be no chalk until 2012 and the beer has gone up 30p a pint) still it was worth it to see Clint check a game in under 30 minutes...
